Ep = mgh, The Obstruction of Obliteration: The Planes of Symmetry Function Just Like Asymmetric Relationships explores the fragile balance between order and disruption, structure and impermanence. Informed by ideas drawn from physics, mathematics, and spatial thinking, the exhibition considers how symmetry and asymmetry coexist in both material form and lived perception. The title references the formula for potential energy (Ep = mgh), pointing to latent force, suspension, and the possibility of transformation, whilst the obstruction of obliteration suggests resistance to erasure and the endurance of form within change. Through the installation that unsettle conventional spatial experience, the work invite viewers to consider how space is perceived, measured, and inhabited, and how meaning arises through moments of instability as much as through order. Positioned between scientific inquiry and poetic interpretation, the exhibition offers a reflective encounter with the unseen forces shaping both physical environments and perceptual experience.
