‘The Cycle Of Death and Rebirth, It Is Like A Roller Coaster’, 2013

Painting, luminous paint on canvas, 450x450mm

This work investigates the tension between the natural world and its grasping appropriation by human influence, framing life, death, and rebirth not as linear events but as an ongoing, interconnected cycle. By emphasising cyclical temporality, the work engages with fundamental questions of existence, revealing how processes of creation and dissolution are inextricably linked. Within this perpetual rhythm, the fragile and often unstable balance between nature and human intervention comes into focus, prompting reflection on humanity’s position within and disruption of the natural order.
