‘Rebirth of The Soul’, 2010-2011

The idea of the water signifies birth in the mother’s womb. I represent the ideas of the animate and inanimate objects are able to move their souls on after death to be born again and that the most peaceful space within this progression was the space within the mother’s womb. The work creates the mutant genes of extinct animals and plants, trying to express the idea that nature and the natural order were being altered and destroyed by humans. This work reflects my awakening of  interest in the relationship between the environment and humans, which conveys that science is despoiling the natural world.
