Artists at Work: Process Recorder -The End has No End, 2011
Installation Painting, Mixed Media, Dimensions Variable
The work explores the cyclical nature of time, memory, and experience, questioning the boundary between conclusion and continuity, and reflecting on how endings are rarely absolute, as moments perceived as final often give rise to new beginnings, interpretations, and perspectives. Through a series of installations, the artist examines the interplay between permanence and impermanence, presence and absence, inviting viewers to reconsider linear narratives and fixed meanings. Engaging with themes of repetition, transformation, and renewal, the work invites viewers to a reflective encounter with the ever-evolving nature of reality and human perception.
Artists at Work: Process Recorded, an experimental exhibition at the Korean Cultural Centre UK. suggesting a different approach on the creative process and the archive of this work. The video documents the ten days of creative work at the KCC. Each day, one of our ten participating artists undertook a performative piece within our Multi-Purpose Hall here at the KCC. Every session, open to the public was recorded live and broadcast via the KCC video screens: subsequently creating an archive of the 10 days work.
