‘Herr Nabel Von Welt’
Sarah Mock & Gemini Kim
19.09–03.10.2015
Space One presents ‘Herr Nabel von Welt’, the collection of PHASO or Post-Human Archaeological Studies Organization, a collaborative project by Sarah Mock and Gemini Kim.
'Nabel der Welt' is one who thinks of oneself to be the center of everything. ‘Herr von Welt’ is a male who behaves superior in all things. Is this the attitude of today's human nature? Is ‘Herr Nabel von Welt’ biting the hand that feeds him/her?
Silent relics and excavations of PHASO depict the fluid border between cultural and natural things provoking questions of current human state.
