‘tyger tyger,’
Tammy Kim & YongHa Jeong
30.08–27.09.2014
tyger tyger, is a two-woman exhibition by Tammy Kim and YongHa Jeong. Alluding to William Blake's poem, “The Tyger,” tyger tyger, concerns dualities and interconnectedness in creating and creations. Emerging from their friendship and parallel experiences, this show is a direct reflection and celebration of uncanny departures in the artists’ lives. In Kim’s newest work, entitled “I Left My Fear on a Mountain,” she repurposes media from past work while exploring her capacity (or lack thereof) to be pure in the act of creating. YongHa Jeong’s "Come, Lord!" is an ode to the similarities between two seemingly dissimilar aspects of life: its beginning and end.
